Avoids the Usual Werewolf ClichésNot one to embrace paranormal yarns of fantasy, especially those involving the werewolf subgenre, I began reading Weresisters with a certain amount of skepticism. However, the skepticism was soon forgotten as the personality of Kyra began to leap off the pages. Fiercely independent and envious of the more-confident Selene, Kyra’s eagerness to be recognized and accepted by her peers for her sense of self – rather than for the brace holding together her crippl [...]

Told from 2 different perspectives this story starts out slow but quickly becomes an amazing read, filled with action and mystery. The two perspectives are different and yet there is a connection between the 2 sisters, even though they have their own distinctive personalities and histories. I found it to be a fun read.

`Sickness, insanity and death were the angels that surrounded my cradle and they have followed me throughout my life.' - Munch John Patrick Kennedy started his career as a writer with a deliciously controversial book, PLAGUE OF ANGELS. Brooklyn born of Irish ancestry, he seems to have inherited the Irish genes for wild tales and has the courage to make his own stories challenging to the conservative readers with such a flair for showmanship that the result of his courageous wanderings through my [...]

Synposis:This novel is divided into two parts.Part 1 is from Kyra's perspective and Part 2 is from Selene's. Sixteen-year-old Kyra is not your average teenager. She can telepathically communicate with her adoptive father and she has no memories before the age ten. On top of the normal trials of acceptance and wanting to be cool, she also has to wear a brace for a leg impairment. After an incident that occurs on the bus, she finds out she is a werewolf, she has a mother and sister and there are o [...]

I have a hard time getting into werewolf novels sometimes because lately they seem to be driven in a direction that doesn’t even echo their abilities. This is especially true when it comes to YA novels where romance seems to drive everything. This luckily isn’t the case with Weresisters though.Instead, the reader is presented with an exciting two part story that follows the life of sisters split up at birth. They both know they’re different but can’t place how until they hit a certain ag [...]

FamilyMyra was adopted at a young age, but she could mind speak with her dad from the start. She was hoping her first day of school would be everything she hoped it that it would be. She didn't know what was happening to her on the bus. All she did know was that she had to get off the bus and away from everyone. Suddenly, she saw black hair on her body and she could hear everything in the forest. She realizes that her father hadn't adopted her, he had captured her. She wasn't in eleventh grade, [...]

FamilyI really enjoyed this book. I love werewolf stories. I also love stories about families making it through heartbreaking struggles. This book has both. There is the typical werewolf action and adventure with some folklore twists thrown in. There is some typical teenage drama. Add a madman trying to kill you and Windfolk people using magic, kids on the run and all Selene, Kyra and her mom want is to be together as a family and live in peace. This is definitely a good read. I recommend it to [...]

EnjoyableI enjoyed reading Weresisters. It kept me interested from beginning to end. Though it started out slow, it picked up speed fairly quickly. I enjoyed the family aspect of this book. As other reviewers have said, it isn't a traditional werewolf story which (although I enjoy the traditional werewolf stories :)) made this one more appealing to me. Please keep in mind that there is some violence, but there is also mystery, a little action and some magic. To me it seemed to end a bit abruptly. [...]

It took me to another world!! I have to admit that I loved this book even though I was never really into the whole werewolf thing. I like that it was about sister werewolves and their survival. I felt a lot of heartache when I read it and also joy at times. It was a very emotional story. I also liked how the book was split up into two different sections, a section for each sister. It was nice to read the their section of the story through their own eyes. When I was reading, it really took me to [...]

Good This was an average read for me. Not super great but not bad either. If there is a sequel I would read it if I came across it but wouldn't search it out.
