Hmm. I'm rating this higher than I would because I'm so far out of the target age range, and I think a lot of things that bugged me are things that I really wouldn't have cared about when I was ten or so. Like: why middle-schoolers? Who on earth thinks it's a good idea to send a bunch of eleven-year-olds off to thwart some foggy plot? We get a vague explanation of the tune of 'people don't notice kids', which I get, except that the two things they do out on the real world are 1) go into a confer [...]

WARNING: THIS BOOK REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERSIn this book, the main characters called Nate and Lucy are sent to a new school. On the outside, it looks like your typical everyday school. But little do they know that on the inside this was no ordinary school, turns out that this school is actually a secret spy organization. Before they know it, they are sent on a dangerous mission to save their not so normal school from an evil organization called the Syndicate. Without much training, the two par [...]

My School is a Spy Factory is a pretty exciting book. My 9-year-old especially enjoyed it. It’s great for kids to read on their own and also makes an excellent family read aloud.

Sixth-grader Nate Fischer never thought about being a spy. After an unexpected phone call came the night before school started, Nate found himself at the Benjamin Tallmadge Institute – a school for SPIES! Nate begins his training and is a good spy (not great – but good). Nate soon finds himself and his partner, Lucy, on a mission to save their school (and possible the whole world) from total destruction!I read and reviewed another one of Mr. Stickler’s book (The Absolutely Amazing Adventur [...]

First off, I really enjoyed this story.Second, it did seem that the writing and pace was a touch fast in places, especially when transitioning from one event to another.I also wished that the author would have explained on what happened in the spy classes that the agents (in-training) were taking.Characters: Nate and Lucy were really likable and capable. Isabel was a wild card; Lenny wasa really unpredictable guy. And Poppleton *pause* I have no idea what to think about him at the moment. The eve [...]

I thought that this was an amazing spy story. The author makes it easy to read and not too hard to understand and yet still completely unpredictable. Things are never what they seem. In my opinion, one of the best things about this book was there were no gadgets that made the mission too easy. When they were facing there opponents they couldn't just pull out a gun or fly away on an invisible helicopter. Nate and Lucy had nothing but there own logic and martial arts skill to defend them. I, mysel [...]

This was one fun read. Plenty of action and twists so I was kept reading with anticipation. Author crammed lots of adventure into a few pages. Looking forward to reading Stickler's other works. Feel most fortunate to have won on which did not influence my review.

Nate Fischer never wanted to be a spy. But when a phone call lands him at a new school, he realizes that he doesn't have a choice: his new school is a spy factory. He barely has time to learn his locker combination before his first mission plunges him into danger.
